CEWE has launched its popular Our World is Beautiful European photography competition 2016 / 2017. Last year I was one of the judges and helped to select the amazing winners. This year’s competition is even bigger and better with an incredible set of prizes – it’s so good I wish I could enter myself! The competition runs until 30 June 2017 and there are six broad categories you can enter. So whatever you shoot, there is a category that’s perfect for you.
The idea behind the competition is to present the beauty of the world as the focal point of photographic interest. The final selection of winning photographs is made by a jury, and there are 1000 high-quality prizes up for grabs. Our World is Beautiful 2016/17 Prizes
The overall winner will receive the CEWE Photo Award, plus a trip of their choice. They will also receive photography equipment worth 5,000 euros and CEWE photography products worth a total of 1,500 euros. The other category winners will each receive CEWE photography products worth 1,500 euros and photography equipment worth 3,500 euros. The winners of the 7th to 20th prizes will each receive photography equipment worth 1,000 euros and a voucher for CEWE photography products worth 1,000 euros. Those who come 21st to 1,000th get a voucher for CEWE photography products, the value of which depends on what place they achieve.
1st Place (Overall Winner)
The CEWE Photo Award plus a trip of your choice and photography equipment each worth 5,000 euros. The first prize also includes CEWE photography products worth 1,500 euros.
2nd to 6th Place
Photography equipment worth 3,500 euros and CEWE photography products worth 1,500 euros.
7th to 20th Place
Photography equipment worth 1,000 euros and a voucher for CEWE photography products worth 1,000 euros. There are also prizes available going as far as 1000th place!
