It’s always a pleasure to see one of your images gracing the cover of a magazine, and I’m delighted to say that my winter sunrise shot of Southwold Pier was used on the cover of the December 2019 issue of PhotoPlus magazine. The full image is actually landscape format, and can be seen in full below, but it works well in the portrait crop used for the cover.

Discover Cymru Calendar 2020
I’m delighted to announce that my image of mist rolling into Dee Valley, near Llangollen in North Wales at sunrise has been selected to be featured in the Discover Cymru Calendar 2020. This image was taken during my second visit to the location where weather conditions were looking promising for mist, and they certainly didn’t disappoint.
Drone photography and video
Drone photography is something I’ve shied away from until this year when I was first loaned a DJI Mavic air from DJI, and then bought my own drone – a DJI Mavic 2 Pro. So, in April this year, I completed the two-day PfCO course with Pro Drone Academy in Ely, which I’m happy to say I passed. And after applying for my Permissions for Commercial Operations from the Civil Aviation Authority, I received my PfCO at the end of May. I’m now a CAA approved drone pilot, so in addition to my standard photography services I can now provide aerial stills and video to clients.
Amateur Photographer magazine cover 14 July 2018
One of my landscape photography images of Tŵr Mawr lighthouse on Ynys Llanddwyn on Angelsey in North Wales was used on the cover of the 14 July 2018 issue of Amateur Photographer magazine. The cover image was used to accompany a technique feature I produced for the magazine covering how to shoot and edit tasteful HDR images. See a larger version of the front cover, the original image and the HDR article below.
